Activity: Implementing onepage design
- Level I created for previous task was inspiration for my onepage so I redesigned it and added the missing onepage features
- I tried to stick to the onepage for most of time, minor improvements were added
Notes
I had hard time trying to make moving platforms timing feel "right ". In the end I decided to let the player wait longer sometimes to have the timing that feels better.
Jump difficulty was also hard to manage. By playtesting I got a lot of experience so I usually made hard jumps on first try. To make up for this I added fast travel that activates when player progresses deeper into the level and lets them skip starting part.
I had some difficulties creating bullet launcher that hurts player. Sprite kept dissapearing until I found out it just fell through tilemap as it is in wrong layer(when I encountered flickering while decorating at least I knew what is going on and how to fix it). Animating the launcher and adding shooting event was troubling me a bit too.
